Bruce Brown Ale
Homebrew Beer Recipe
1 can Mountmellick Brown Ale Kit (4lb Hopped Malt Extract)
1 oz Challenger Hops (bittering)
1 oz Tettnang Hops (aroma, dry hop)
2 lb Amber Dry Malt Extract [or 3.3 LB Amber Liquid Malt Extract]
[Ahead of time] Set can of hopped extract (Brown Ale) in warm water.
Heat 2 gal H20 to boiling. Turn off heat, add Amber Malt Extract (not the can). Stir until dissolved. Turn on heat and bring to a boil. Set 40 minute timer.
@40 minutes (beginning of boil) Add 1 oz Challenger hops (bittering).
@1 minutes (end of boil), add 0.5 oz Tettnang hops (aroma). Save rest of hops in tightly sealed bag in fridge/freezer.
Turn off heat. Add can of Brown Ale hopped extract, rinsing w/ hot water to get it all out. Stir until dissolved. Cool wort to 95F or so, then pour into fermenter. Add cold water to reach 5 gallons. Make sure wort is cooled to 70-80F and pitch yeast. Follow regular fermentation procedure.
When primary fermentation subsides, rack to secondary fermenter and add remaining 0.5 oz Tettnang hops (dry hopping). Let settle for 2-15 days and then bottle or keg and enjoy!

Thanks Guys!
Maybe now I won't just be the guy that looks like the guy on the Rogue Brown Ale label! Going to try to make it this weekend. Thanks for everything.
