15A. Porter - Robust Porter
Volume in US Gallons:
6.5 gal
All Grain Ingredients:
8# American two-row pale
1.5# domestic crystal 60L
1# Domestic chocolate
1# Flaked oats
.50# Roasted barley
Hops
1oz Goldings 60 minutes
1oz Goldings 10 minutes
Wyeast 1056
All Grain Instructions:
Single step mash infusion, saccarifiction rest at 156F x 75 minutes.
No secondary on this one 12 days primary.
Bottled with 1 cup of corn surgar at tbottling since I ended up with 6.5 gallons of wort.
Bottled 4.5 gallons as Robust Porter and then added 2 cups of cold brew coffee to the last 2.5 gallons.
Brewed on 12-31-10, bottled 1-15-11 opened and drank 1st bottle of Robust on 1-29-11 and have to say that this might be the best beer I have brewed to date. Can't wait to open a bottle of the Coffee Porter.
